I bought an M-Audio Oxygen 49 Midi Piano and I hooked it up via USB and it worked perfectly on FL Studio. All of a sudden, one day later, I go to use it again and it is not being recognized. I can't find it in the Device Manager, as if it's not connected to the USB port, yet it turns on, which means that it has to be connected to the USB port. What can this be?
Thnx in adv. |

Did you install the drivers on the CD that comes with it?
I have an Oxy49 myself and never had the problem. |

Yea I installed it. Everything was working perfectly. At first I thought it might be the USB cable but then I thought that logically that would render the whole cable useless so it wouldn't be able to power on. |

Do you have windows vista? Did you start windows without it turned on/connected? If you have vista do you have UAC on? |

Ok...I have XP. After much research I got it to be recognized in the Device Manager as it should be "Oxygen 49". I'm all happy. Then I got to FL studio to set it up as a Midi input...not there. Now FL studio doesn't recognize it! Restarted the comp. and still nothing. Can't find anything on the web to help me deal with this :whip: |

Make sure you have the latest MA_CMIDI drivers, m-audio is notorious for its disastrous drivers, before you change versions, manual removal of the old ones is mandatory (don't just overwrite old ones), remove it from devices list in device manager, and try again.
These midi keyboards work even w/o drivers as generic midi keyboards though, I'd start suspecting having a faulty keyboard after another driver reinstall session.
I never had similar probs with my Oxy tho, only with another controller and 3 soundcards :D |

it could be that it needs to be turned on before launching your host. |

I find this is the usually the reason. Plug in everything before you start your host. Always. |

Tried...but once again unsuccessful. Interestingly enough, I opened my stand alone VST Absynth 4 and under MIDI input, my Oxygen 49 was also not recognized. So to sum it up...shows up in the Device Manager as it should "Oxygen 49" and it does not show up in FL Studio or in Absynth.
:conf: I am running out of options. |

Hmmm, tried reinstalling the drivers? What OS are you on? |

I'm on Windows XP ... how would I go about reinstalling the drivers? Is that the same thing as uninstalling Oxygen 49 and re-installing it with the CD software it comes with? If it is I already tried. |
