whats the top bit for in FL8 playlist.
before it was just the blocks, where 1 square represented 4 beats (in a 4/4 track) after i set it to medium.
but since FL8 this has been relegated to the bottom of the screen and above where the solid blocks used to be, you can sort of drag the mouse and it gives you a visual representation of the pattern you made.
working the old way suits me fine. but i think it is no longer required? and i feel this new thing is important and will open up more creativity. i think by looking at demo songs that it enables you to fade in/out the volume on all your patterns. is that all?
what is it all about?

| yea that's basically it. It is really cool since you can make automation clips up there, also you can throw in sound effects. I usually use it for all of my crashes/fx. |

That playlist has been able to use Pattern Clips has been there since Version 7, except in 7 it was on the bottom. in 8 its on the top, and in 9 it on the top and completely re-done to where u can make it serve like dedicated tracks.
