I'd put money of it being either a corrupt registry OR a corrupt file system.

Easiest way out of this is to remove the HDD, take it to a mates house, whack it in his machine and do a scan disk on it. Then put it back in your PC. There are other ways of doing it but this is the easiest.

Report back your results.

If you're in a state I'll sort it for you - I live in Oxfordshire, you're in MK aren't you? You can bring it round mine and I'll fix it. I run my own business repairing home IT equipement. PM me if needed.

You can play me a set while I work on your PC. I have a Xone92 and 2 CDJ1000s.

Cheers.

I had 2 tuna rolls with red onion and red peppers. It was ing delicious.

I left the memory test running whilst I was on lunch. It's still running now but says it's found 804608 errors so far. So we may have a winner?

Haha, interesting method of payment. I wish everyone would let me settle my debts that way. I'm capable of doing all that though, but thanks for the offer.

memory was my first guess. Some of u I hope never attempt to fix a computer for anyone with these drastic suggestions, lol.

Confirmed, it's the mother ing RAM. Just put in some from another machine and it's booted fine. ing thing.

Cheers for the help.

If it does it at the exact same time every time it's very unliklely but possible. Memory restarts tend to be more sporadic. Is it sporadic or does it happen every time at the same time Mike?

A file system/registry error will cause a restart at exactly the same time on every bootup attempt.

EDIT: I'll prepare to eat my hat I think!
DJ Mikey Mike
Perhaps not. What do you all make of this? I removed the RAM that was already in there and replaced it with some new RAM (exact same spec.) After that the PC booted up just fine, hence why I thought it must be the RAM as many people have suggested.

But then I put the old RAM (what I suspected to be the faulty RAM) back into the machine, turned it on and the machine also booted up fine.

So what the has just happened?

Ram could have just needed to be reseated due to dust buildup.

Quite possible. Although this is pretty hard these days.
