not sure what the room size has to do with anything...lots of minimal sets are played in big rooms

Trance used to push well into the mid-140s and in its early days was almost invariably played in some tiny warehouse or dingy basement. Certain music is appropriate to a certain crowd; other aspects of the environment like lighting can be adjusted to match. Room size has precisely -all to do with it.
