The best is actually the forums on orkut. Search for trance. you'll find a bunch. I used to this site a lot when I lived in Brazil, it's Sao Paulo centric (which has a much bigger scene than Rio), but will have major stuff in Rio listed sometimes:

Make sure you make it to Buzios, where there is Fishbone, Privelege, and Pasha. Not a whole lot going on in Rio proper except for special events. The best place to go that time of the year for eletronic music is Santa Catarina/Floripa where there is Warung, Green Valley, etc |
