I know these guys are some of the most reclusive artists I've ever heard of, but a couple of questions that I haven't been able to figure out that maybe you can help me with:
1. Do they ever do live shows? I would killlll to see them live but I've never really heard of them ever going on tour or doing an off shoot show here and there. I'm sure they've at least done a few shows, but they certainly don't seem like the type. They seem content with making an album or EP every now and then and that's about it.
2. Are they making a new album, or is there any evidence of them creating anything new? The last thing I'm aware of them releasing is the Trans Canada Highway EP. Does anyone have any insight into something else being released?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Chances are, you're probably not gonna see them live in your lifetime. They've indeed done a couple of shows (most notably Warp's 10th Anniversary Party in late 1999, Warp's Incredible Lighthouse Party in 2000 and All Tomorrow's Parties in 2001), but those days are long gone.
There has been speculations about the new album and what's maybe even more important boxset (so-called Bocset), which would include everything they've ever done (including those rare early tapes) in a remastered form. But those are all rumours and I wouldn't hang my hopes on it.
Kinda sucks, but hey, Christ. is coming out with a new album this month!

Not sure if I would want to see any of their stuff "remastered," given what that usually entails these days. Still interested in that box set, though.

I wasn't aware about the new Christ. album so thanks for the heads up on that :D
But man, that's really depressing that they don't ever do shows any more. They must abhor being in the spotlight whatsoever, which is pretty nice and a good change of pace for an artist to take, but I still reaaaallllly want to see them do a live show.
As for the BoCset, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. And I really hope this new album comes out soon, it's going on 5 years :/

Also, 1969 by them just got a fair amount creepier now that I know the whole meaning behind it :wtf:

As mentioned before, they've done live shows before but much like their reserved attitude, they probably won't pop up on a stage any time soon, lol... Fantastic duo anyway, everything I've heard by them (which is basically all the known material, I guess) is good. Eye / Ear is such a choon, but I've yet to hear Catalogue 3, I think.

I'm finally sitting down and going through all the hidden and reverse messages in their catalogue and these guys have made some weird and ed up . I knew that there were messages and stuff before, I'd just never taken the time to go through and listen to/search for them. Geogaddi is one twisted album now, in retrospect :wtf: :wtf:
Fearless One
music has the right to children is the best album ever

The bocset (lol) is a great idea and I'm definitely interested. Have heard lots of rumors about a new album, hopefully something will materialize.
I've heard about their subliminal messaging and stuff before, but I'm too lazy to research it all. whats it about?
