I used to meditate, and could do it quite easily.
But then I started to feel I was wasting my time, as there are more interesting kinds of escapism. |

Such as reading, writing, dancing, working out, listening to music, and - why not? - cherishing your friends (actively, not thinking of how much you love them while you're detached from the outer world :p), and so forth.
I reckon being with your friends is not exactly a form of escapism, but it beats the hell out of meditation any day, in my opinion. |

| true. but those kinds of escapism are more to do with the concious mind. have you ever tapped into the subconcious? |

| i keep telling myself that i need to spend the first 15 minutes of my day stretching and meditating, but i never do. i've read that just 15 minutes of that in the morning can dramatically change your stress levels throughout the day. |

| Meditation doesn't seem like escapism to me. More like anti-escapism. |
