Sounds like a saw synth or maybe saw + square with unison run through a bandpass filter with high resonance and custom automation.

That actually sounded pretty close, though it sounds a bit too resonant... the original sounds much more "solid", maybe the same synth is doubled as an octave, without resonance on the lower part? I know that was a quick example, just thinking out loud.
I'll see if I can come up with anything with that. |

If you take that sort of sound, turn the filter to lowpass, turn off the filter env, but keep the custom automation, you can get something like this:
