Technics web site has them for same msrp. Which is better?

M3Ds are better.

clickless pitch control, reset button, cartridge holder, removable dust cover, recessed power switch.

those are the only difference, mere conveniences..

It's all a matter of preference. I also prefer the mk2. Mostly because here the m3d is more expensive and I don't think it's worth the price difference (a well calibrated mk2 works as good as a m3d).

So if you prefer to have a clickless pitch slider, a quartz reset button, a hingeless cover, a recessed power switch (if you're clumsy) and a spare stylus holder, go for it. Especially if it's the same price.

IN US, I can get either for $399-$420

yes, i do not like the clickless pitch :whip:

i enjoy the feel of the MKIIs better....i see no point of a cartridge holder, as my Ortofons have there own cases that offer better protection :)

and the pitch reset??? dont even get me started on that :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

>>money did not play a role into my opinion as they cost the same
JayD
