M3Ds are better.
clickless pitch control, reset button, cartridge holder, removable dust cover, recessed power switch.
those are the only difference, mere conveniences.. |

It's all a matter of preference. I also prefer the mk2. Mostly because here the m3d is more expensive and I don't think it's worth the price difference (a well calibrated mk2 works as good as a m3d).
So if you prefer to have a clickless pitch slider, a quartz reset button, a hingeless cover, a recessed power switch (if you're clumsy) and a spare stylus holder, go for it. Especially if it's the same price. |

i enjoy the feel of the MKIIs better....i see no point of a cartridge holder, as my Ortofons have there own cases that offer better protection :)
