The Cleveland Show (pg. 2)

I don't think Family guy has been losing its edge. The multiverse ep was hilarious imo. It goes up & down... everything does.
I'm not into the Cleveland show so much. It's just watered down, but I think they're doing it on purpose. There's a market for it, look at American Dad & Furutama. As much flavor as a communion wafer, but people watch it.
Family Guy has pushed so many boundaries and is so over the top, that anything compared to it is tame imo. Remember when Simpsons was funny?

Did you just put ing American Dad and Futurama in the same ing sentence? :wtf:
WittyHandle
Both suck equally imo, so yes.

I can't see what's so good about Futurama... and the Simpsons, for that matter.

edit - As for Family Guy, this is the only scene that has ever made me laugh hysterically:

Ok, yea season 11-17 sucks a bit but the first 10 seasons have some of the best comedy writing ever. :wtf:

It's not my kind of humour. I grew up watching Freakazoid, the Animaniacs, Histeria, and the like. Humour and (a somewhat nerdy) nonsense go hand in hand, in my opinion.

Futurama was a great show. Albeit the only thing that really made it worthwhile was Bender.

As for family guy it goes up and down with episodes that leave you laughing like hell and ones that leave you with a slight chuckle.

the cleveland show tries so hard to pander to the black population it even admits and makes fun of itself for doing so (see the first episode).

hmmm.. i saw it more as a parody on those kinda shows, and while that may be appealing to black people, i don't think this show is overly "black". they make fun of all stereotypes.

yeah. cus that wouldn't get old really fast. i mean, how many giggety can you hear before you get sick of it?

I watched the first episode, haven't watched the second yet. It had many good jokes, but it doesn't feel right. Cleveland without Peter, Quagmire and Joe is not as funny.
