alright then.
for a first mix this was very good. I can't tell you how many first mixes i have heard by being a regular in the dj section of this board that were mixed so badly that they made me cringe, so good job on that.
I think when we talked at piknic this summer you had said you were using traktor?
I don't want to be overly critical of a first mix, but i'll still try because constructive criticism is what makes better djs imo.
As you probably know already i've been kind of over the whole brooding repetitive mnml for a while. I still like it and buy quite a bit, but the first major problem for the set for me personally was the complete lack of variety in programming. At times it felt like i was listening to the same track over and over.
You will be able with a little more practice to integrate "drama" into a mix through mixing technique and adding new elements (what the whole genre is built for aka layering imo.). Until you get to that point it can be created through kicking into to another gear and throwing a curve ball aka maybe a track that was not so similar to everything else in the set.
I'm not telling you to play disco here man, only that the tracks in the set were way too samey. Drama drama drama = interest. Empty tracks are made for drama, just start mixing a few mesures earlier and eq as needed. mnml mixing is best done 1 + 1 = 3.
I hope you take these comments well, and you did a great job for a noob. I only write stuff like this, because people did the same thing for me and helped me learn new things:) |

| What stands out the most for me is you let a lot of tracks go for a long time and it gets a bit boring. Lenazi said it well, you need some drama in there. If you start playing a bit harder, keep it that way! Don't slow it down right after! |

Thank you very much for all the feedback) I was aiming more for an opening set instead of a full range mix for those who were expecting something else.
I am very happy for whoever enjoy the mix. |
