Nice!

Really love this one, Marcello -- would love to hear the back story on how this collaboration came about.

^^^ Glad you like it! The Yellow Chair, aka Vito Petruzzelli, is a friend of mine from high school. I hadn't seen him in like 3 years after we all graduated. Over that time, he got into a lot of ambient, IDM, and minimal music, especially guys like The Field, Burial, Gui Boratto, Ellen Alien, etc....

He made a track called "Supercollider" with the vocals you hear in our version, and made two edits, one of which inspired the collaboration. He's unsigned so what I did was we reworked the vocals, I made my own instrumental under it, and it fit together nicely!

He's doing a live PA at Love in the Cave in December for the M.I.K.E. show. Believe it or not, he performs using 2 children's casio keyboards, a few pieces of hardware, and FM transmitter that transmits to 3 boomboxes he sets up around the room, connected to an iPod that plays ambient recordings of field rec's he's done on trains, streets, airplanes of people talking, all funneled through some FX pedals!!! It's like the real deal live PA, not a keyboard connected to Ableton...

Ah, very cool -- just checked The Yellow Chair myspace. I hope to catch him live.

Looking really forward to this tomorrow! Bringing like 5 carloads of New Yorkers, I think this is a bad idea.

Had a real nice time with Marcello, as well as some other NYTA's that came down for the show, including Robdawg.

Also, for those of you have not yet heard, DJ Eco was featured as the guest on Tiesto's weekly "Club Life" radio show on Oct. 23 (the same day as the event). In humble fashion, Marcello did not even mention it that night, so definitely be sure to pass along your congrats when you see him ;0
