| I know people who have done 5 times what that kid took over the course of one day and they were fine. As is usually the case with deaths blamed on E, it was probably due to a lethal combination of other undeclared substances in his system. Authorities like to hide key info in cases like this to scare people. However, as for a 14 year old doing 6 pills, that's just not right. |

Or it could be an undisclosed medical condition.
It's extremely hard to die from E itself, you'd have to do an insane amount to actually die. Most deaths are from bad combos, dehydration, heart conditions, etc. |

Just because a pill is sold as "Ecstasy" does not mean it will actually contain MDMA. More "Pill with god knows what is pressed into it, possibly containing a MDx or similarly related compound which may or may not get you high (or dead)"
Who knows what was actually in the pills that they took. |

| True, but if that were the case this would not be the only case reported. Authorities will rarely pass up the chance to report an E fatality. Also, there is little incentive for an illicit pill manufacturer to whip up a deadly batch, as no one would come back to them for more. |

I blame ignorance, because they had no idea what they were doing.
So, not everything was said about it, because it failed to reach these kids. The government needs to add a harm-reduction side to their drug prevention strategy. Not doing so is incredibly short-sighted, condescending, and ultimately useless.
And what Big Boss said. It's the ecstasy AND something else. |
