The one thing I don't understand about compound names in Spanish is: Why don't abbreviate their names? In Portuguese, even if you've got two (or more) names, no one calls you by both names. I've got two names myself, but - those that do know my first name :p - call me "Marcus", not "Marcus Vinicius" :conf:

it depends on your name in spanish as well..i only have one..but theres tons of people who have two and only get called one...just how it sounds i guess. |
