Hey man,

This is nice track with good musical structure. Beautiful sound.

Great work, man.

I really dig the concept. Def can tell its not mastered. Were all those sounds stock from ableton 8? Or were they added? Have ableton 8 myself didnt think it had sounds as interesting as those. Word of advice tho. Im looking at your set-up and it looks exactly like my old one. Thing about ableton is that its great for arranging but the end sound even after mastering sounds skinny. You should try out logic. MUCH fatter sound. Good concept tho. Keep it up and I wanna hear the mastered version.

p.s. converting from ableton to logic is prolly the easiest to do. Almost same exact look and feel.

@Suli: I totally agree with you, and I would love to have Logic Pro, however I cannot afford a Mac right now (adding that they're also extremely overpriced). About the thin sound, maybe you are talking about my VSTi? I used Vanguard and Sylenth1 for the song; is this what you think causes this "skinny" sound, or is it Ableton?

Also, could you give me a couple tips on mastering a little bit? Haven't really got a clue on how to master tracks.

Thanks!

i think ableton in general produces a skinny sound. I remember when i was using it i had to literally layer 3 tracks together in or to produce one decent synth sound i was look for. I felt like i was spending more time playing with all the modualtion, reverb and effects etc... than making an actual tune. As far as mastering goes its all about balancing the EQ properly and boosting your effects to their maximum potential without clip. Im still working on that skill myself and can humbly say that my mastering skills are nowhere near perfect at the moment.
