I've been offered a desk for quite a 'reasonable' price from a matering dude i know, are they rock solid?
The dimensions seems to fit what i need perfectly |

this ones better imo, having all your synth on the left on top of the table and all your rack instruments, compressors, soundcards etc in a rack under it on left. then the computer infront of you. |

i wouldn't really call ikea furniture an investment. It is disposable furniture. Having a nice environment to work will do wonders. Get the desk and a nice leather chair.
IF i had kids, I would let them turn it into a cockpit on saturday mornings. |

FYI, most leather executive chairs have terrible ergonomics. You need a fully adjustable backrest and most executive chairs only give you one axis of movement. |
