| There is was no cardboard box on the bottom this entire time. The silver thing was just the balloon itself.. The commentator said there was a hook thing on the bottom and that is likely what the basket was attached to. It could have fallen off anywhere within the first few minutes..and they said the baloon likely rose at 200-300 feet per minute. The kid had about 10 seconds to make the decision to jump,because if you fall from more than 30 feet, R.I.P. |

Wow, slow news day. Wolf Blitzer is now working "desperately" on finding the boy.
The 24 hour news machine is going to tear this family apart digging for "facts" (they're already commenting on their eccentric lifestyle, taking the kids out of school to chase storms, being on the Wife Swap show etc)
