So here is the story , back in Feb , i was having a play with the MIDI of Endless Wave and several of my synths to find out which reverb was best , dont know why , i just was.
Since then , this tune has been like a Dirty Slapper , something I revisit, have a play with, then return to normal life.
The other night I returned to it and added a few FX , and finished the length:D of it.
But after many times of revisiting and making 10 odd tunes in between i feel so dissapointed with it.Just like shagging a dirty bitch for the crack (literally).
My gripes are , I cant switch off the fookin annoying panning of the lead synth,
I cant think of a suitable effect to go over the top between 1.08 and
2.03 , something to keep it interesting.
And most of all I cant keep the energy after the break , without drowning out the main lead with the sawpads volume anyways.
Something has gone wrong with the SH-201 recording a sample into Edison , ive had to EQ all the high end of the sample because it jams the tune with High Freq's? , the tune just desends into white noise WTF?, and only this track , it works fine on everything else.
So the sawpad that comes in at 2.24 is only half its intended strength.
Thats all i can pick out , can anyone suggest anything else?
Here's the track , Not mastered so you might wanna turn the volume up

| Actually I think the lead sounds really nice while panning. During 1:08~2:03 I'd say make the pad louder and put an LP. Right before you open up the pad take out the lead and them bring that in slowly after the break with another filter. I can't tell if your using an offbeat bass of rolling because its just too quiet, I'd say bring out the so it can be more driving. Maybe change the kick sample too. Just add more percs and variate the lead a little bit, drags on for too long. |
