made the trip down to DC from NYC with 4 others to see Armin. it was rainy and cold outside, but the place was packed to the rafters. tix were not available online on Friday for the show on Saturday, so i got royally screwed. we got to the club around half past 10pm. all my other friends bought their tickets beforehand so it was a 15 min wait for them. i was the only waiting outside for 2 ING HOURS cause Glow/Fur froze the General Admission line until practically EVERYONE on Will Call and VIP/Tables got in. they were trying to sell line jumps for $30 for people who already bought Will Call and $80 for people on the General Admission line. i seriously considered it cause i was literally freezing out there, but since i had to shell out $50 at the door anyway (which was more than the $35 online), i just decided to wait. i seriously didn't think they'd make us wait that long. ridiculous. little did i know.
anyway, Armin played a very UR4 heavy set with recent big tracks from ASOT 2009 and ASOT in general. it was just as everyone expected. crowd was with him from start to finish. visuals were good - even the music videos were in sync with vocals from the tracks he was playing. lasers were good, too. there were lots of them but they were thin and a little hyperactive. he got on at about 12am and was still going when i left at around 4:30am. (it did sound like the set was gonna end any minute towards the end.)
i managed to get a decent tracklist together. i'll fill more of the no IDs once i figure out the tracks. starts from when i got in at 12:20am. i know i missed a song or two from the beginning.

I was there with ASOTx21!!! (: Hiiii hehe
This was only my 2nd time seeing Armin (first was at Electric Zoo) and I loved it. I fell in love with Universal Religion 4 a few weeks prior and I was so happy to hear most of my favorite tracks on that album (actually, I pretty much like all the tracks on UR4 haha). Armin seems super nice and easygoing. People were throwing glowsticks at him (!!!) and he still had that cute smile on his face hehe.
The sound system was a little bit overpowering, but I love it like that. It kept me going for most of the night, even though I was dehydrated and plain exhausted. Armin definitely rocked it!!! As ASOTx21 said, he had the crowd from start to finish. Don't know what else I can say that he hasn't said already. |

| Damn a two hour wait is ROUGH :( Plus it's always worse when you've driven really far for the show - cause then you can't just throw in the towel since you've gone through so much already :\ Oie I feel your pain, think we've all been there.. |

| 5 hour set from armin was so worth the trip. had a blast with the GWU crew. def a night to remember. dunno what was goin on at ibiza but those suckers missed out lol |
