Downloading GTA4 (again) as I'm writing this though. Just switched to Windows 7 64bit.

Let me know how you get on with windows 7 64bit i'm thinking of putting it on mine too.

I got everything I need working thus far :).

- email
- wireless usb thing drivers
- internet
- audio drivers
- renoise sequencer

Haven't come round to installing any VST plugins yet though, I have more important things to do now (deadlines :whip: ). But all seems to be working just fine right now.

No problems whatsoever.

I love the new window size manipulation features. Incredibly handy.

GTA should be finished in a couple of hours. I hate this game it's so friggin large. Even with 1.5MB/s it takes way too long hehe.

yeah i'm just wondering if i will get any compatibility issue's with my vst's i hope not.

So i'll wait on your outcome :D

Now if I play a game I'm bored within a few minutes as my brain is just saying 'this is a totaly pointless meaningless thang' - great.

You can reprogramme yourslef this way to remove the lust for fast food too. I homed in on the smell of a Macdonalds restaurant and decided they stanck of melting butter - life a babies highchair does, and that really now puts me off Mds. Check out that putrid butter smell next time you pass one.

Yeah I'm the same way and have been ever since playing WoW for a while 3 years ago. I also think that lack of impressive games kinda started making me think that way because I used to play video games all the time but they dont really entertain me anymore and if they do, its not for a lasting while (unless its a Final Fantasy title).

But games like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution can keep me going still. Music/Coordination games are awesome.

i used to be into video games as a kid but I just don't find them fun anymore. I'm not sure if it is because of the quality of games or I just grew up.

Same.

As a video game developer, I approve of this messsage.

I stopped playing WOW 2 years ago, but the last track I had that was signed, back in late 2004, was made on a weekend where WOW servers were down between the first beta and Release. Pretty depressing :whip:

I'm too busy making games these days to really have an addiction to playing them though. That said, I'm really looking forward to Dragon Age coming out in a couple of weeks!

Well why don't you try to do this, 1 day of games then the next day music and so forth.

I've tried so many times to game for just an hour per day, or one day per week, and it has always failed. I just have to have it all, or none. That's the kind of personality I have. So I've decided to treat it as it is, an addiction.

Even then when I do play, I like quick gratification games that don't require a lot of commitment, hence the arcade cabinet.

A MAME cabinet is an awesome idea. I'll admit that I've always wanted one. That may not be a great idea, though. I have tried "quick gratification" games like Starcraft and Unreal Tournament III. I always get addicted. Maybe you mean REALLY quick like pac-man, though. I can handle console games and never get addicted to them. It's mostly online PC games. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to avoid all games in general.

That's a good method.

I realized that my gaming had quadrupled since I bought a very top-of-the-line video card 5 months ago. I literally finished my most recently completed track right before I bought that damn card. So I'm selling it, going to buy a mic with the profit, and buying a crappy $15 video card with dual DVI (all I need).
