Hey guys,

Any soccer fans who can recommend some proper British sports bar, preferably with a ManU majority, to watch Sunday's game against Liverpool?

thanks in advance

For Man U, 6th Ward and if the weather isn't rainy, their beer garden will be open with a big screen. They serve brunch with unlimited mimosas. We have gone for matches and they will keep serving you through out. If you see an Israeli guy yelling at the tv a lot and a blonde, it's us. Nevada Smith's is a Chelsea bar and while they show most matches, we still won't go to a Chelsea bar.

Never mind, I called Sixth Ward and they are opening at 11 tomorrow, the match is at 10. I guess we'll watch from home or he might find a Maspeth place to watch since they have a few Man U bars. He won't go to a Chelsea bar because he is a die hard Man U supporter. He watches Chelsea games, just to make sure they lose. Too bad it's so early tomorrow, we like the noon matches better so we can go out.

Really? On Man U boards, they all refer to it as the Chelsea bar of NY. I know they do match meet ups but he didn't check online yet since he is watching another match now. I'll post the location they mention, it is a sea of red when they plan and they are a great crowd.

ic ic - no doubt it could be the chelsea bar of ny (but not a chelsea only bar?) because that's where the supporters go, but a lot of supporters clubs call NS its home too. united supoprters do have an ace in the hole - one of the bartenders is a huge united fan :)

I see it says Forest Hills, do you ever go to Maspeth or Woodside to any Irish bars? They have a few Man U bars but I don't remember the names.

I wouldn't say it is always Chelsea only because they show other leagues too but for a lot of Man U supporters, knowing it is the Chelsea bar of NY, they won't go ever. When they played the final last year, you could see all blue from outside. Every Man U supporter went to Sixth Ward, it was so packed. People were singing and screaming the whole time, buying strangers rounds, the owners bought rounds. You won't get that at Nevada Smiths because the die hard Man U guys won't go there.
