Thanks to all of you for the reccommendations on where to go!

It's Tuesday night and I still am not fully recovered from the insane weekend we just spent.

Friday night started off by checking into our hotel and heading out to eat crepes outside in the fantastic weather at le Canopé on St-Denis. After that, we headed dowtown for a warm up night of beer and strippers, followed by a little trip to "Le Boom" just to check things out and warm up for the rest of the weekend.

Saturday started bright and early (11) where some of us went shopping and checked out a few free shows at the Jazz Festival. When dinner time came around, we started on crescent St. to eat a nice meal outside with a few drinks. We then headed to Illume (or whatever the hell it's called now, there's no sign), and I must say it was probably my favorite bar in Montreal that I've been to so far. The nice dark ambience and the leather couches/beds are key! I also love the fact that in Montreal most places will allow you to buy a 40 oz. bottle and bring it to your table. Very convenient.

Anyhow, once 1:30 or so came around we headed back to our hotel to change into our party gear to see oakie. We only arrived around 2:30 or so, and I was really disapointed not to have seen the entire set (I never got a chance to see your post Biggy!), though the hour or so that I saw was FANTASTIC. I didn't care about the thousands of people on the main floor or the 1000 degree temperature, Oakie absolutely rocked the place. I've never experienced something so electric. I don't even know where to begin! We stayed til about 8 or so then booked off back to our rooms to recoop.

Sunday, we got out of bed around 3 or so, headed down to l'Hotel de la Montagne to hit their pool bar on the roof. The pool totally refreshed us and the meal/drinks we had there did too. Later on, we got all cleaned up and bolted up to Central Station up on St-Laurent. This place was classic! Even though it was unbearably hot inside and it felt like there was a million people trying to squeeze into a tuna can, it was still fun as hell. We met up some smokin' hot local girls and partied with them until closing time, and then some. They weren't really up for partying late, so we exchanged kisses and farewells, then headed back to the hotel to change again.

Aria, again, was great sunday with Howells cranking it up, playing to a smaller, cooler crowd. At 10h00 or so in the AM, I ended up laying on the grass in the shade at some park with a beautiful girl I met at Aria, and did so until checkout time. ;)

1500$ later, with a terrible headache, a foggy brain and an assaulted checking account, I have NO regrets. This trip is one I will never forget, and all the friends that came agreed.

I love Montréal!

Merci et Salut...

hehehe, everyone that comes here and parties......loves it!
I'm constantly meeting out of towners and asking them what they think of Montreals night life, everyone says the same thing...crazy! :D
Sometimes buying the 40oz is cheaper, there's some places that will charge inbetween 80$-120$, which isn't that bad at 3$ a drink, when it's a place that usualy charges 6$. Majority of the time I'm all ready hammered by the time I head out to a club, and usualy still dirnk on the way (streets, or bus), I'm a master at making road drinks ;)
mastercongo
rizzle i used to do that in mexico. drink in the bus and street but i dont know here, is it allowed here? or you just do it incognito?
ahlamalek
ing drinks are expensive... its like 8$-8.75$, let say 10$ with the tip or the bizatch will look at you strange :) ( I alawys tip anyhow) and the drink is something like 10ml hehehe so buying a bottle isn't that bad at 120$ plus it gets you some recognition from the staff if you do it alot...

anyone up for some drinking and getting drunk :)
