Dave Robertson and Jon Gurd have carved out fine careers for themselves individually, with releases on labels such as Spoken, Reveal, PH Zero, EQ Grey and Kill-A-Watt, however it is together that they have created their best known work. The Rendition and Our Execution were both big tunes for Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela to name a few.

Adopting a punchy tech house template, Never Do That rolls out a snappy percussive groove complete with deep Detroit pads and infectious cut-up vocal loop. Pacey and straight-to-the point, there is plenty of energy to move the floor as the various elements create an vibe of building tension.

Embrace It takes the EP on a deeper, more hypnotic path while retaining a percussive tribal feel. Constructed at a steady in pace with a spacious chunky groove as its backbone, the hooks come from wigged-out distorted brass noises that weave in and out of the choppy beats and vocal stabs.
