I don't know how people can enjoy reading something on a screen that small.

I don't even like reading magazine articles online on my laptop.

I love having actual books.

You can't comfortably snort k off a Kindle, contrary to popular belief.

The Kindle DX is has a 10" screen. I am pretty sure that is larger than most books.

so what, the next version of kindle will be like 5" ?

nowadays everyone wants something smaller, sleaker, shinier. it won't be long before people will get frustrated with carrying around such a large "book" and want something smaller.

so they'll either revert back to paperback

or

smaller ebooks will become the next thing.

"hey look! i'm reading a book on my thumb drive!"

i really don't even read anymore; but the thought of an electronic book just makes me want to vomit; as past experiences with classroom books being on them and i ing hated it.

Except the reason for releasing the DX was because size complaints. People wanted something that was similar in size to a book for reading purposes....

lol is bigger not similar if it is only a small amount larger? Similar doesn't mean the same. Also, they wanted it to be easier to read newspapers.

meh; i guess.

but reading newspapers on it? come on, that's kinda stupid. i dunno; i like to hold a newspaper and read at my own personal leisure...not having to scroll over and around just to find an article that finds my intrest. it's much easier to do that with my eyes than a ing scroll bar or "next page" button. blah.

From what I know of, the newspapers are reformatted for the screen to avoid that. I haven't used the DX though, so I don't know from personal experience.
