Record Shops & DJ Equipment in London

Hi UKTA's!

I'll be dropping by London come July 26, and if you'd be so kind to help me out in finding some record stores and DJ equipment shops I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll be staying at a hotel near the Russell Square Tube Station, just so you peeps can get a general idea of my location. My "range" is quite wide, basically anywhere I can reach by tube.

The trance selection here in Toronto is absolute CRAP let me tell you, so I thought I'd take advantage of my trip to London and get some quality choons. Needless to say I'm looking for record stores with a nice trance selection. :happy2: As for DJ stores what I'm looking for actually are the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro headphones, which are impossible to get in Canada (other than ordering them from overseas, with extra shipping / customs costs etc.). :whip:

Thanks a lot for helping me out! I'm really looking forward to visiting this awesome city. :eyespop: :D

P.S. What is the total cost when buying 1 vinyl, on average, in London? What are the taxes etc.? Again, thanks.

Sapphires Sound & Light are in London. I cant testify to their prices however as Ive never brought from them. Check the Sapphires Website for more info.

As for record shops, Soho is absolutely crammed with them!

Please excuse my ignorance, but "Soho" is a district or area in the city? Where would it be located, which streets are the "borders" (if you will)?

Thanks again for the help.

EDIT: I Googled some information: http://www.s-h-systems.co.uk/tourism/london/soho.html

Thanks Spin Doctor for pointing me in the right direction.

Sapphires, are a GREAT company for equipment but i guess really you are lookin for records. I think JUNO are based in london but im pretty sure they are a mail order company only.
