Odd question, but promise it is music related. Have you seen the movie "Sunshine" ??? (pg. 2)

It doesn't really start till after 2mins, or the part I like at least:
Crash

Its nothing special but the vocals always make my spine tingle.. always wanted to see what it would sound like if I thickened up the sounds and put it into a driving trance track.

not to hijack your thread but I do know how movies can inspire you to produce.

I like that song, too. Before I had ever seen or heard of the movie, I was visiting my parents and they were watching it in the other room, and it really caught my ears and made my spine tingle.

Yeh it has a very similar feel to a lot of the scores in Gladiator and Braveheart, I don't know what the language is but sometimes I think thats why I like it so much.
Forces you to translate emotions more then actual words imo

ing awesome film with a ing awesome score...

as mentioned sherry beat you here though stephen :(

could still have a crack at a different one of course though, and the fact he got it released is a good sign you might be able to get the rights :)

love sherry's intro mix though...

"our sun is dying......." \o/

nah - sherry used completely different samples that I'm using and his tune is way different than the way mine is shaping up. In his instrument selections he tried to make the piano and strings sound the same as if they were from the movie (too easy) - I'm going a completely different route and have since transposed the track to a different scale even. It actually sounds like to me that Sherry used the actual track from the score instead of writing his own MIDI, which is yet another difference. I've a multi-track MIDI for the entire song not just the uplifting part.

without the piano voice leading in the original , you will lose the entire feeling of the song. It will just be a chord progression used in thousands of other songs. That is the most integral part of the melody. IF you plan to use the melody, you should use that piano motif in some way.

have a look at the non-intro versions... :conf:

don't have the intros, and there's less of a focus on the vocals..

All the mixes are on Beatport..there is an intro free mix yeah..its called the 'Trance Energy mix' as oppose to the 'Trance Energy intro mix'.
