Spartaque 142 - good to see that djs that actually play good underground music and not cheesy bs actually can penetrate it to the mainstream/top40 natured list like this Go Spartaque!!! hands down the papa of new age and ukrainan sounds of techno/minimal making waves in the underground scene. (also only other dj than Umek that plays pounding new wave techno/minimal that made it to the list)

Umek down 6 - booooo - bad surprise, given it is the strongest year ever for Umek. Within the underground this guy is often regarded as producer of the year this year with ton of cutting edge
smashing hits (like control points, technida, pulling the trigger, you might hear nothing etc.), additionally his label 1605 is performing very strongly and has become known as one of the hottest labels around. But probably for djmag poll, increasing quality is positively correlated with decreasing ranking )).
