Over the past few years, Red Force has delivered established artists like Dreas, Static Blue and Ronski Speed as well as brought you exciting new talents like Sundriver, Avenger and Sean Truby. Our next release falls under the latter category as we welcome Shaun Greggan to the Red Force roster.
Shaun's debut single comes in the form of "Sunset Walk," a lush upbeat and uplifting number with fantastic guitar hooks, intoxicating pads and some nifty effects. Backing up the original comes an extended mix with a longer intro. Displaying mature production skill, Shaun proves it's not the size of the discography that matters; it's what you put in it!
If the original isn't enough, Dreas delivers a banging peaktime remix, filled to the brim with gorgeous melodies atop solid percussion. Fans of his ASOT outing "Blade Runner" will be quite keen on this!
Alex Robert also lends a hand, turning in a beautiful progressive trancer. Featuring housey percs and beautiful plucks, Alex keeps much of the original concept in tact while adding his own unique flavor.
Review
Original and Extended Mixes
Coming out of nowhere the original mix of 'Sunset Walk' blew me away with its proper laid back yet uplifting melody that had me never wanting the track to end! The production values present here makes it hard to believe this is Shaun's debut release. The more club friendly extended mix makes it hard to say no if you are a trance DJ in picking up this tune. It is a perfect start to his career & hopefully will get his name out there as soon as possible!
Dreas Remix
Label resident Dreas provides remix number one. His signature uplifting yet beautiful style is here in spades and any fan of his previous work will be in heaven here! I really like the way he uses the main hook to full effect during the break. A great choice from the Red Force boys.
Alex Robert Remix
Steve kept it a family affair for the remixes with Alex Robert picking up the baton to provide a more progressive take on the original. I like what he did in adding his signature sound but really I feel like another uplifting mix would have been better. Still if you are into more progressive trance then this mix is for you!
Verdict

Not really feeling the Robert Remix but the other three deliver full marks! Great job once again Red Force!
