the first lesson learned in drug use is a basic one;
there are many ups and downs.
you know all the old sayings-
the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, the higher you fly, the further you fall...etc. and they are absolutely true believe it or not I think a good heroin kick or two are essential for anyone who wants to truly build any respect or true understanding of just what drug they have been doing. anytime kicking has been easy for me the lesson has been shortlived, leading to the unfortunate pagaent of kicking cold turkey after 3 straight years of daily heroin use. that really taught me to love heroin yeah, but respect it's rank and power as the grandaddy of all drugs, and a billion times stonger and more effective than any other drug on this earth could hope to be. it's beauty so overw whelmingly, but the pain of a lesson learned can be quite painful, indeed. I come and go with the heroin thing, I've had my hard times with the tar baby and have learned to treat myself only, well it had progressed to every 2 or 3 weeks or so, but now it has been running a month or two between binges of up to 13 days. here is nothing more secretly thrilling than the dirty rotten and exciting subversive feeling of being high. knowing you feel so good most people couldnt even begin to comprehend it. you're a smart guy tom, learn from whatever you are feeling now, and try to exagerate it to yourself. if you can learn to respect and approach heroin with caution things aren't as bad as they say. just be open minded and learn from any discomfort you feel. |
