the guys over on talknightlife have more legal experience...

there are quite a few warehouse parties here in minneapolis, if you do it legally they can successful. if you do it illegally you will end up on broke and on the news, when someone ODs at your party you will end up in jail.

i think the gist of it is... insurance, permits, proper security, bathrooms. you can even pitch it as a charity event if you donate some $. this will give you some flex with the city too.

not that i've ever thrown a party. i'm just another dude on the internet.

If renting a warehouse to promote a RAVE, You shouldn't announce it here Mate.
A few things…You never know who is viewing the forums or what hater will call the police on you. Just some advice from THE GROOVE 107 DAYS…Eric well surely back me up on this one…lol…"GOOD TIMES". Thats when the word RAVE wasn't illegal in the state of Florida.

If you label this as a benefit or charity, permits, proper restroom situation and security. I am sure you will be able to pull it off. Also have a licensed beverage vendor even if your not selling alcohol.

LET'S GO RAVING!

Good advice so far. A couple other things to consider. Hire a civil rights lawyer and have them posted at the entrance to deal with any legal issues. Its better the lawyer does the talking rather than the ravers. Also, a lot of times they will try to shut you down due to noise complaints. Set your sound levels so they are not in excess of the noise law once past property line. I would have a db reader on hand to prove you are not breaking the noise ordinance.

RAVE in HIALEAH.....nahhh that will never work :haha:

Those were the days....

Word of advice....DO NOT CALL YOUR PARTY/EVENT A RAVE!!! That's a quick way to get bad looks, vibes, etc. on your event before it even happens.
