Room mates are awesome! Especially when the 'cool chilled out Irish guy who plays guitar and stuff' suddenly snaps for (apparently) no reason, and throws your TV out into the yard while screaming obscenities at the top of his voice. Then, later, you find out that he's actually a heroin junky, that goes to public parks late at night and lets other men him up the arse so he can afford his habit.
10/10 household, would definitely live there again |
Your name doesn't happen to be John Birmingham, does it?

get the studio on your own and make an effort to make friends from other sources. screw having roommates you don't even know.
sometimes i miss living alone. walking around in my undies and playing with my cat like a retard in said undies and eating whatever i wanted at midnight and just overall doing whatever the i wanted lol
buuut i wouldn't trade the bf for that again at all so i'll just live vicariously through you :gsmile: |

it depends.
NY is notoriously expensive and i doubt you'll be able to find any studio especially in manhattan for less than a stack a month, and that's looking really, really optimistically
so financially you're better off splitting rent with roommates.
also, do you suck at making friends? tbh, from what i've gathered from your personality i'd say you do, at least with females. so that's another reason to get roommates- even if you hate 'em, you're bound to meet more people (even if they're just the ones associated with the roomies) with roommates than you would living by yourself. unless they're really extroverted, i think many people would find themselves sitting around do nothing in an empty apartment without roommates, in a foreign environment.
so socially you're *probably* better off splitting rent with roommates.
therefore, get some roommates. |
