she did about half the mixes and was amping up the crowd heaps at mns. obviously cls gonna have better tech skills but I thought she did a great job. they had lots of energy together.

i know ur a huge cl fan, as am I. But I DO NOT see how u could possibly say she was doing anything. I was completely sober mind you. All she would do is dance next to him super stiff, then he would do some mixing, then let her "mix," if thats what u wanna call it. Then she would put on the headphones, act like she was mixing in a song, and hand cl back the headphones. Pretty lame if you ask me. Not to mention, without a doubt that set was pre-recorded. Very very disappointed with their performance, and the fact that cl would even start trying to play electro house. Just my 2 cents.

I was at the Giant show at Code, we stood directly behind the decks for most of their set. They were using Traktor and Faderfox, which is a midi controller and their set was definitely live.

She seemed nervous which might explain why she seemed stiff, but she was DJing live, it was not pre-recorded. I recall at one point she did 3-4 mixes in a row and I guess half the mixes overall is about right.

well i retrack that statement then. It just sounded like it and when i looked at the stage it looked like she was faking it. Glad to hear she was actually doing something though. Just not my cup of tea.

well, using traktor isn't rocket science so she can "dj" w/ her hubby. And its not like he can't line up songs for her..."honey, use these songs when you mix". Either way she has no rhythm when she is "pumping" the crowd up, she looks stone cold and w/o CL, she wouldn't be doing this. The 2 of them, imo, don't cut it. She brings them down. If CL wanted to play this sound, he should have tried it in a set somewhere. I like this sound and change is good too.

Hahaha so funny you said that. Costizzle and I made this comment to each other. Why bring your wife to dj with you, if she doesn't properly know how to dj and have stage presence? I agree, she was stiff the whole time and looked nervous. Eh, I just hope CL does this as a side project and doesn't put my focus on it.

I haven't seen them DJ but I think the idea is kind of cute. You don't see too many husband and wife DJ duos, and none of them have had a guy as big as CL. It's just something they're doing for fun, and she's obviously going to pretty stiff at first because she hasn't been doing it for decades like CL has.

Oh I know I totally understand, was just making a statement. At the same time it's cool to have your wife up there to share your passion, but she should add to your performance, not be eye candy is my point.
