I haven't had a proper listen to their latest album yet but can't say I'm a fan of the stuff I've heard. I wish J00F would stop playing it. It unnecessarily screams try hard rock and Israeli crap.
Why must psytrance try to be harder, faster, rockier, more middle eastern and all that extreme crap? Hate that try hard . :( |

They are HUGE over here and I don't know why. They've played here once a year for the past 7 or so years and I hear that it always gets packed.
They make some pretty ty music, if you ask me. |

| Guess they can stop playing the same set list over and over and over and over. |

It's ironic how j00f yabbers on about how pure psy is because it hasn't sold out like trance yet.
Yet plays a major role in getting it to sell out.

It's gotten significantly less middle eastern, only ******s try to make it rockier (and sun project's older stuff is a much better combo between psy and rock anyway, or maybe say younger brother is good too) and it hasn't gotten faster? At least not full on anyway. |

I think that's a bit unfair. his sets / albums are all pretty serious and underground. He tends to play a couple of more 'anthem' tunes towards the end, but that's not necessarily a bad thing |

last time they were making solid music was back in 2000,
i never really understood why they are so popular all over the world and especially in south america because they are playing very ty music.
and what's with the stupid album name!? they forgot to put some humos in that shawarma :p |

| I like they're older stuff better. I did experience the Legend of the Black Shawarma tour live at Terminal 5 and I can say as a live band they are still exceptional performers and have a lot of energy. I just really don't see their new style pleasing many of their old skool fans. |

They came to Los Angeles for a recent festival, & my friend interviewed them. About two days prior he called me asking me what to ask them because he doesn't listen to any of their music (I'm a fan of their earlier psytrance days).
They have a lot of cool ideas with synth chords here & there (their last two albums, where they changed the most drastically from psytrance). So I'll love the first half of a song, but then not care for the rest.
But if they want to be rock stars, let them be. There's plenty of good psytrance out there. |

| they are the worst thing ever to happen to psytrance. They more or less killed the whole genre and removed every decency it had. That's according to me. |

You gotta admit though, even their worst stuff is way better than skazi. |
