Hello family
I know it's been a while since I talked about my music but I have been going through a life changing period and the music has been put on the back burner. I wanted to let the family listen to some tunes that I have been working on over the past 2 years.
The first is "Sell My Soul" http://www.myspace.com/popepumpmuzick When you get a chance, if you can stop by and take a listen and let me know what you think positive or negative any feedback is good feedback.
Thanks

Hey hope the life changing experience has turned out ok.
The tune is very much of a time, sorta 1991. The rythm of the chords is like the most basic playing sytle in dance so I'd work on shifting the timing tbh. Drop the horn stabs they are way cliche. Gospel singers have had thier time, but for now they're just not doing it as they were so overused in the past.
The quality is nice though and it has a relaxed feel, but just too much in a time warp. |

Hello Friend. This is a great house track. The synth stabs work wonders, the mix sounds very balanced and as far as I can tell form myspace audio all your tracks sound very professional both in terms of mixing and arranging and more importantly in terms of musicianship.
It sounds like you've been doing this a long time so do yourself a favor and take anything people on here say with a grain of salt ;)
If you really want to get technical I think something like a H3000 harmonizer would work wonders on that vocal.
There are some presets on this machine that when used subtly do a great job of adding space and dimension to a vocal track but then again it is not cheap.
Regardless this is a great performance so don't get caught up in the technical aspect of it. Remember, Marshal Jefferson made his breakthrough single on an 8 track. This is a great house track with a nice soulful feeling to it.
Thanks for posting this :)
Let us know when you will be releasing it. |
