How could the music pundits on TA be so wrong? :tongue3
Maybe 10 years ago, when people were all up on Trance, those who were more educated were probably sitting back and pointing to us, "look at those suckers into epic trance."
Here is how I look at it now, if the Deadmau5's can bring in more people (kids in his case) into EDM, good things will come of it in the longrun as they "graduate" through the music. That means after some education and time, the most passionate of them will be showing up at the clubs that have the upfront underground DJs playing. These "jobbers" will be the future that keeps things moving for EDM.
If you, I, or anyone else made the transition, these kids likely will as well. We need mooaarr "jobbers" |

I started with psytrance and then happycore, THEN trance!
But i still cant see why this guy is so big! He doesnt do anything special. I think its mostly marketing...
(and Kaskade with the great track they made together) |

I'm not talking about taste or exposure, I'm talking about hype.
The hype around Deadmau5 is absolutely astronomical |

| Everyone forgets something when they talk about deadmau5. His music IS appealing to some of us, PLUS what other DJ plays with toy cars or dresses up like a ghost and runs around for the poor people waiting in line to get into the venue? Those of us from the internet can relate to him...yea all that "fail" stuff can get annoying sometimes, but he seems more similar to his particular audience than a lot of other DJs do. |

Internet jokes belong on in the internet, the only people that try to translate them to real life are s. |

So is the hype surrounding actors like John Travolta and Tom Cruise who get represented by big agencies like William Morris. With the money, resources, motivation, follow-through, and willpower you can accomplish almost anything, talent or no talent.
You get hype by bringing in hype men to hype up your status.

| Ghosts N' Stuff, Chris Lake's Edit of Faxing Berlin, Not Exactly, and Deadmau5's remix of Community Funk are already classics. I think they will be timeless. |
