it makes sense , 2009 was a house year, at least the promoters think it was so *in the US*. I mean, Deadmouse "headlining" the LoveEvolution thing gives it away, and the TAO flyer looks like a total disappointment (for trance heads)
So if Markus plays are you guys thinking he (one dj) is going to carry the Trance Flag, on NYE, all by himself? Sounds more to me like the promoter is just saving $$$ to pad his wallet more and more. I mean there is so much more trance talent readily available, but you the promoter has to be willing to pay for it and most importantly, you have to give a . Not just play favorites, and do the elitist "hook up" which promoting in California is getting to be. I can feel it.
Maybe there is more $ in House? I don't know, but I sincerely think that the fatties at Massive events like Go Ventures and Insomniac et al should bring down ticket prices from their astronomical numbers, what are we going to hit $100 a person in 2011? Maybe the world is going to end in 2012, so you guys want to cash out before it does right? sheesh.
Thats ok though, just keep headlining house acts, and continue to push the trance scene underground, it makes for better music anyway. :D :D :D |
also, i doubt house wil ever be on par with trance. Trance artist has always ruled top dj 100 mag. Although u may not care about topDJ mag, you should know that people vote to put them on top, therefore trance stays :) |
