And hello to all the other Australian TAs as well :p
I'm moving to Melbourne in about 10 days from Cairns (originally from Toronto) and was curious about good places to go and hear house and techno? I've heard excellent things about the music scene in Melbourne and can't wait to experience it :D |

| It depends how underground you want it. Melbourne definetaly has the best to offer for any taste though. |

| Not really into the big, flashy, mainstream clubs. Prefer the smaller venues that usually tend to carry a wicked vibe and good tunes :) |

Think Brown Alley, Darkbeat, Sunny events. You probably know Sasha is playing 20th Nov. ITM forum is probably more informative for the type of music you want !:) |

Sunny, Darkbeat and keep your eye out for a small crew/party called The Clarity.
Those are some of the best underground party's in melb. |

there are heaps of club's in melbourne which are big but not many play trance- more housey stuff
Patform 1 ( ''P1'')
chasers
TFU ("Two Floors Up'')
heaps more
and theres alot of major events coming up aswell such as Future,Summadayze(i think thats gonna be a s**T but you might like the line up, Stereosonic and heaps more that will be finalised and then the main event of 2010 for me - TIESTO! |

If your up for proper underground house and tech (and some psy) Myaeon in sydney rd brunswick is small and brimming with vibe most friday and saturday nights till 7am
some of melbournes finest play there and love it because they get the opportunity to take it deeeeeeeeep |

| There aren't any real trance clubs as i'm sure has been stated above. But from what I've heard there are sweet festivals that cater to all your trance needs. We've got Rainbow Serpent coming around in Jan. But it's been diluted down a bit from what I've heard. CQ I guess is a good house club. And if you're lucky... WahWah will have someone who at least knows what to play. So to be honest you're going to need to scope out some of these places first. |
