Hi all, I present you the last two pieces from the Samothrace Mysteries series - part 2 and part 4 which complete it.

Samothrace Mysteries 2 - Unfold The Secrets

1. Juno Reactor - The Heavens (Vapour Mix)
2. Eargear - Like Music
3. Atmos - A.Pro.X
4. Human Blue - Sandal Wood
5. Mittelstandskinder Ohne Stom - Lunar Church
6. Ticon - Ghost In The Machinery
7. Ticon - Some Simple Sounds
8. ManMadeMan & Andy Guthrie - Transiva (Remix)

13. Human Blue - Electric Harmonie

The newly welcomed visitor is greeted by the nobles and the priests who for a lot of months are secretly giving him instructions, teachings and thoughts about their religion. What you must do, what you must follow. The entire process is without seeing your master. The trust is bonded by many months of dedication but at the end you are involved into the religious society of the people.

The culmination of the ritual. The bull is brought to the center of the sanctuary and is being killed by men who are pure zealots of the religion of Samothrace. While killing the beast, the priest thanks his gods and praises all the people involved. The blood is then being drank by the nobles, priests and the ordinary people.

P.S. I am sorry for probably the worse transition I ever made in the part 2 mix (2nd -> 3rd track) I hope it doesnt disturb so much.

Enjoy! :)

Finally. I am grabbing these two - already have the other four. I wanted to listen to them in order, one after the other.

I should probably do that, Domesticated. I've only listened to two of them so far.

Getting these right now.

By the way, I must say that I love these stories that go along with each mix. Perhaps you can expand on them and maybe tell us more about the rituals and stuff! Do you base some of the themes of your sets on the things you learn and study at work?

Well, if you connect the mixes as a whole with the story, you will probably get what I was intending to do with each piece. Enjoy! :)

Yeah, its indeed part of the things I learn and work. The thing behind the Samothrace Mysteries is... well its a mystery and there are a lot of theories. That one is the most well known since its close to the religion of the prototracians but it has little details that separate them like passwords as an entrance, naked priests, frenzied women who are being "absorbed by the god". Things similar to the continental tribes but still local and unique. Very interesting stuff. I can suggest you some books if you are deeply interested in the subject. Write a pm! :)

P.S. Enjoy the mixes :)

Bump :)

I'm gonna try to listen to all of the mixes in order now. To see if these two really fit in with the rest :)
Altered-Mind
grabbing both sets right now!
Magadansky
Well imo they fit but the listeners are always the final judges. :) Link the mixes with the story and will make more sense! :p Enjoy

Final bump since I think "The Sacrifice" mix is the best one from the series.

I'm listening to Unfold the Secrets now. You have started off the set quite hard! Quite a bit more straight-forward than you usually are ;) Up till now, 33 minutes, you have played some badass progressive stuff. This track is a real stomper. Lots of energy in this set so far, Mag, I love it. The second half of the set has lots of energy, and many goa-influenced melodies, but more of a psytrance feel. I personally preferred the first half of the set, but I have a feeling you preferred the second half! :p

One of the most unique sounds I've ever heard: 40:45. What the hell is this, it's ing crazy.

I listened to The Prayer yesterday. What can I say, man, you are a master of Goa Trance. It took a while for this set to actually start (like 15 minutes... to be honest, I wouldn't mind a whole set of stuff like that first bit!) but when it did, you started bringing the house down with some seriously intense Goa tracks. You had at least 3 peak tracks in this set, just enough energy and enough power to come up with a seriously awesome Goa set. I enjoyed this quite a bit, dude, especially the first few Goa tracks you played, they seemed pretty old school.

I might have a few of these sets that I haven't listened to yet, I will grab them when I can and make sure I listen to them.

Nice work, buddy, all the hard work paid off! :D
