and you sir seem quite volatile and angry, is there a reason for that? You obviously have no clue how to handle the internet, stop taking everything so ing personally, other people's opinions should not be this grating for you, especially people you don't even know.

If J00F is pissed about playing after ty trance DJs or clubs where he needs to bend his sound, I'm sorry but it's up to the DJ/booking to find their audience, and cater to that audience.

If you pigeonhole yourself into a certain area, like most of these guys have unfortunately done (many times not by choice at all!) there is not much leeway for them to play different gigs.

It's not like J00F is alone in wanting to play "differently", I hear lots of DJs talk about this all the time, and how they lose the essence of what they really enjoy when they have to just bang out peaktime sets all year long at huge parties where punters expect them to deliver music for the end of the world. It's part of almost every scene, techno, trance etc.

Getting to play opening slots and early sets is almost a god send these days.

Yeah, so am I. Just because you're passionate doesn't mean you have to look like a complete ing idiot in the process.

I think J00F's problem is he seems to be unwilling to play smaller clubs and crowds, where there would be more control over things. By insisting on playing big room venues he's being lumped in with big room trance jocks who can't warm up for .

In his blog entry that Existo copy-pasta'd the other day, he was banging on about the lack of superclubs catering for specialist crowds. That's your problem right there, J00Fy. Take a pay cut and play smaller venues and you'll get specialist crowds. Play bigger clubs and you get the lowest common denominator, because it's where the profit is.
