i was thinking of the old days when one had to explore the music by your self, learn from your own misstakes(if there were any) of buying the wrong record and stuff like that. but the NOOBS now days just walks in here or any forum/community and ask: "give me some good trance artists" or "some good tunes please" and so on and so on, i hang around a swedish site much in the trance forum and the noobs comes in there non-stop! i cant take it any more! WHY cant they just do as we did in the old days?! disscover and explore your self!
i mean for fukk sake we aint the trance experts, you have to find the by your self.
and those who say: "I tHiNk ScOoTeRs NeW tUnE kIcK aSs, LoOk At Me I aM a TrAnCe AdDiCt!" fukk that ...itīs repulsive, disgusting.
just had to say this.

True somewhat...
But sure saves on spending money on a ty, overpriced CD.
Granted I'm no expert when it comes to Trance but one the main reasons I'm here is to get opinions and share advice with like-minded people. |

Damn.... why the hell is it a lot of people on the internet, especially on help site, they never wanna help newbe's????
Why is it so hard to say "Hey check out blalala"? Instead you start to flame, or start a tread bitching about newbe's
If you don't wanna help, don't read the tread... or you ignore them.
I really don't see any harm in somebody asking "the experts" for help. |

Totally agree, 7years ago when I started out I didn't know anyone who could mix properly.
People are always asking now to teach them how to mix and give them tips, but ffs it's up to you, explore the possiblities and see what the outcome sounds like.
As for finding records, use forums a bit, but I actually try and avoid purchasing anything too popular, there are some real gems that people often pass over as they're not produced by big name DJ's. |

same as me, i strated out 4 years ago with no help at all, i had do the all way by my self, go to a record store, to the section "Trance/techno", and just listen, no one gave me any tips.
and the mixing thingy. maby im old-fashioned but i think you get more respect if you learn your self.<--- this was not to you Freefall,;) |
