Phrakture: 15 ****in' Years Old!

I just bought "Fall In Line" in the Beatport sale, because it's a track I've been wanting for a little while without having a real use for in my DJing.

I was looking at his Last.fm page and this kid is literally 15 years old. Born in 1994. And he's signed and producing some stuff that shames people twice his age. Some of his stuff I can take or leave, but some of it is pretty incredible, and when I think of how my creative talents (namely writing) have improved since I was 15, this kid has got a bright, bright future.

Have a look on Youtube, most of his stuff is on there. Downright musical prodigy.

un-ing-believable

IDK why, but when kids younger than me are this good at stuff it just pisses me off. Like I could seriously strangle this bitch:

you and your talent, probably wouldn't be so happy if you actually had to work hard to be that good. but no, since you're just naturally a piano goddess you're all smiles and happiness you bitch.

and she composes her own music! , I accidentally threw in a parallel octave in the last chord progression I wrote for a class.

These "prodigy" kids do work very hard, they nearly always have parents or teachers pushing them to their limits. Mozart's dad was supposedly one of the best and most demanding music teachers in Europe. Can't be too quick to write off this stuff as all due to "innate talent." ;-)

This is pretty darn good. Let's see if he still calls himself "Phrakture" 10 years from now lol

edit: OMG I took piano lessons for ten years and I got to be pretty good, when I practiced a piece and whatnot, but I could NEVER write a note of music, certainly nothing like the 6 year old...

Definitely a name to keep in mind.

Yeah, thanks for bringing it up, definitely just went and grabbed a few of his tracks. 6 years younger than me and he makes my tinkering about look like someone with downs whacking their face on a keyboard.
