world famous as by being known by top dj's around the world for the place to play at in Dallas :)
Im sorry you were hassled that time...the normal security there has always been fair with me for the 10+ years I have been going there. |

lol no, seriously, it really is world famous.
It's on touring DJs list of "one of the clubs I want to play at someday." Perhaps there is nothing spectacular about it compared to the new upcoming clubs at other cities, but it's a milestone for many. I honestly can't believe how big Sean Tyas is and this will be his first time at LL. He's always wanted to play there and we are thrilled to have him. :D
As for the security staff, I've only had one issue this past summer and that wasn't even a big deal. I got into an argument with one about being on the stage while photographing JOC. But out of the gazillion times I've been to the LL, that is nothing. I've always found them to be nice and just doing their job. |

| if anyone happened to get one of the Tyas Cd's we were passing out this weekend then we apologize for you not being able to jam out to a great set! There seems to have been a mixup at the printing company and we got 500 copies of some guys press kit instead of a rockin trance mix! The mix was linked earlier in the thread in case you guys still wanna hear it :) |

There was one security guard in particular who was being an ass. The rest of em were just doing there jobs I suppose. He made it a point to block as many people from taking pictures during Robbie's set and telling them he'd take their phones if they wouldn't stop. He pushed by two of my friends and I just stading by the edge of the dancefloor going "get the outta my way." If I hadn't of been strung out after being awake for nearly 48 hours (didnt get any sleep between school, two parties and the drive to dallas) I probably woulda confronted and got kicked out of the club with an assault charge.
I understand security has a job to do, but their are traits such as 'tact' and 'professionalism' that this guy was lacking in his job description.
Other than that its a alright club. :) Robbie threw down a rockin set |
