Hi guys,
I have been listening to a particular type of house music recently ( i'm not too sure if its funky house or disco house or just house...still a noob at this...please dont hate) and would like to know exactly what this sound is classified as.
here are a couple of examples
Freemason - Rock with you (Freemasons bootleg) ---> the bassline, its kind of funky, feelgood and makes you wanna move...
The Bucketheads - The Bomb (John Mazella Bistro Mix 2008) ---> very funky, slightly disco if I may, but once again, feelgood with that bassline
Hott 22 feat. Angie Zee - More Than Just Friends (Vocal Mix) ---> once again, very disco like but not quite...its got that bassline again which makes you wanna move...overall, feels funky
Malibu Sneakers - Get Down Again [Raul Rincon Remix] ---> same sound and vibe here!
these are the sort of sounds I am looking for...something funky, feelgood, with basslines like these...tracks with vocal or without are both fine...can you suggest some artists, albums, compilations or tracks I should check out?
please excuse me if this sounds like a noobish post but as mentioned, i am still learning.
I am really digging this sound and would like to try and develop my taste in it. I would ofcourse appreciate any comments, suggestions and advice you guys might have.

Check out mixes by Desyn Masiello, Rowan Blades, Luke Fair and Add2Basket.
Use the search function on this forum and you will find the mix archives I made for those DJs some time ago. They contain pretty much every set they recorded. ;) |
