TasteXperience - Hydewood [Olympik]

"Olympik Records is proud to present yet another great track from the resurgent TasteXperience coupled with remixes from legends such as Airwave and big up and comer's like Matt Acton, Greg James, etc.

Without further adue:

Original Mix
TasteXperience serves up yet another melody infused track in a soothing downtempo format. The guitar, that forms the basis for the entire album, is beyond scintillating and shines like a star in this mix. Overall, a great downtempo, ambient-like tune that sets the foundation and provides diversity to the release.

Airwave Remix
This man hardly needs an introduction, but for those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the past decade, you can read more about him here. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Airwave - Laurent delivers with an incredibly refreshing remix. The metal guitar combined with the soothing strums from the original form to create some brilliant tension that will be manifesting itself on dance floors all over the globe. Simply put, you can't miss this one. I'd love to sit here and give you a great description, but words really can't do it. You'll have to listen.

Beetseekers Remix
After taking a break for some time, Beetseekers has returned to the producing front and in good form no less, with the remix receiving praise from John '00' Fleming before it was even finished! Listeners can expect a large and in charge progressive, bass driven mix. Ideal for a floor in need of some audio therapy. When in doubt, cue this one up.

Greg James Remix
Fresh off a successful remix of TasteXperience's famed "Summersault," Greg James teams up and delivers another superb mix. Relying on many of the great original elements, James infuses them with an extremely ear pleasing and relaxing approach. You'll wish you were headed to the beach or the next groove cruise soon after listening to this.

Invisible Sounds Remix
This largely unknown, yet much published, Russian artist brings quite a different approach to the package as opposed to the other remixes. Invisible Sounds builds this remix around his melody for the most part, and sneaks in elements from the original when you're least expecting it, and pulls it off wonderfully. This remix carries a lot of energy, but as said before, different from the other remixes. An extremely strong kick, bass, and interesting (yet not trendy) glitch elements highlight this remix. A great remix that helps this package touch the front of almost every dance genre out there.

Matt Acton Remix
This extremely talented artist delivers yet another superb remix for Olympik. It's only a matter of time before somebody steals him away (and I'll come find you and hurt you if it's you.) Melodic breaks seem all but distinct these days and Matt Acton is doing his very best to make sure that changes and hits the jackpot yet again with his Hydewood remix. Beautiful backing vocals along with superb progressive breaking grooves help to create a true trance atmosphere. This mix is calm enough to play in a clothing store, yet strong enough to set a roof on fire."

Out now on junodownload, itunes, audiojelly, trackitdown..

Interesting. Will check this out. Expectations aren't high up really as Tastexperience has sucked recently, but some good remixers at least, so we'll see
Trancefxs
Beatseekers remix must be one of the best trance tracks released this year. Heard it on Global Trance Grooves of September. Airwave remix looks also another fairly solid work from the Belgium trance master. Interested also in Invisible Sounds take of this track, this Russian prog trance producer has been releasing some really solid works in the last few months.
ReclusNdangrmnt
Gorgeous remix from Beetseekers. :)
Acton
I was going to make a self-whoring thread regarding this a couple of weeks ago :p.

What the hell, here's mine in full.

And more previews!

Airwave remix was really good

Actually not that bad. Not sure where I'd put it in a set, but maybe I'll download just for my listening pleasure.
miamitranceman
Not too bad.
Quethas
I have heard Beetseekers Remix and loved it. Nice to see that it's finally out.

Listened to the samples at DJ Download:

Original:
Decentish. Not bad, but not something worth buying for me.

Airwave Remix:
Too cheesy. Has potential, but falls short.

Beetseekers Remix:
Pretty good, but this one too is maybe a little bit too cheesy for my liking. I definitely need to check out more recent Beetseekers stuff because of this.

Greg James Remix:
Boring

Invisible Sounds Remix:
Cheesy and boring

Matt Acton Remix:
Don't like this one at all either.

Beetseekers Remix was definitely the best one of these, but I guess the original tune was a bit too cheesy for my liking and thus the remixes all sounded too cheesy with the guitar and all.

You can check my latest remix productions on my 2009 Artist Promo Mix

It's 80% vocal material but the new JOOF mix could be something for your taste. I personally like Invisible Sounds mix a lot. It's probably my favourite from the package.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Most of your tunes are IMO almost really good, but in the end I often feel something should have been done a bit differently to make the tunes really shine. Oh well, can't please everyone.

Blueshift is still the bomb though.
