can't speak about the other rooms but basement had great music through out the night. nice range of genres and a lot i haven't heard.
main room's new laser, projection above the bar and balloon decor was def nice! my fav was the upstairs house room's ceiling though. all those balloons together covering up the ceiling was a great idea! :happy2:

The sound system was ON POINT last night. Incredibly clear and not too loud. Great work. New bar projector was nice too.
Great set from A&B but I wish they were on longer than 2.5 hours and brought Tony along. But still a great night!

Looks like Marie and her techs got 1015 primed for last night. Everyone & everything pretty much fell into place after we got started at 9:30. Every room at the club looked wonderful, and the sound was crisp and clear thanks to Maries fine tunin. Agreed on the sound. Also the subs under the booth are back.
John and I had planned on playing a 2 hour set, but shortened it by cutting some of the fat outta the set last min. Overall felt great about most of the tracks we played, but didnt get a chance to play some of the requests like Alpha9 - Bliss, and I cant recall if I got to play Ashley Walbridge's Chimera. Proff's - Starstuck was the original mix which I opted instead of the solarity one. Everyone who asked what tracks I played that were remixes, One was Dj Tatanas remake of Chicane's Saltwater, and the other was a new progressive house remix by Dinka a newer version of Braveheart.
Massive new flood lights were also in play at the club which gave it a stadium feel, renewed strobes, and a new projector system was unveiled over the mainroom bar, both the laser and Kryo spread out through the night. The entire room was full of color. Really hope the video over the bar stays, It's definitely awesome.
Starting out, the club seemed to fill quickly, as I noticed everyone gathering along the upstairs in the VIP areas, and balconies. I was really suprised at how fast the mainroom filled up. Gave out most of the 1,000 cds throughout our set, and had 30 or so left at the end of the night. By the time Beaver & I got off, the room was pretty much full, and Taj took the decks till 12 for the countdown. I got to do our countdown sounding off the last 10 seconds which was pretty cool as I've never really done anything like that. Going upstairs to the VIP areas everyone I ran into loved how things were setup, including the catered food, drinks and atmosphere. Another hi-def projector was upstairs. I didnt get to check out most of the rooms during the night cause the entire club was packed.
Right at 12, Tab of Super8 & Tab, came alone, and played an awesome set. Jumping off to leave space again for Above & Beyond, Who arrived if Im correct around 2:30 2:45.
Above & Beyond started our proggy, and went into trance later into the night playing some massive hits. Once again the club sang in unison as Jono played Lonely Girl, Satellite, and others. Really great to see em back at 1015. Speaking to Jono during his set, he mentioned them leaving to Montreal in the morning. Asking Paavo about Tony he mentioned he was somewhere in London respectively, Fishing.
Met a few people last night from the Anjunabeats forums, and several others who said they skipped TAO to be with us, including many locals. Met people who were big fans following A&B to 1015 from their LA gig.
NYE at 1015 was awesome, and hope everyone had a great time ringin in the new year with us. Big thanks to Taj for allowing Beaver & I to end 2009 opening for such great talent. Thanks to everyone who helped out, and Rafal for the countdown video, also Michael Conway for helping master the final versions of my cds and making them sound awesome!
I cant who we will see next in 2010 at 1015. :D

big ups to the incognito guys... ralf kollmann was great behind the decks and an incredibly easy guy to talk with about music. erphun was the surprise of the night for me though, i love this guy's style. solid support from mel, franco, gil, jon and even roger upstairs. i don't think i've ever spent so much time in the basement before. shame none of the sets were recorded, but all in all a great start to the new year :cool:
