The Mason sound follows a simple method. Their understanding of melody and a canny ability to fuses it with technological know-how, sheer musicianship and dance floor savvy creates dance music for the thinking man, but not so clever to be alienating and dull. This is about rocking floors and letting the good times roll.
Once again Mason duo Iason and Coen show blatant disregard for fads, fashions and trends and present two very different yet complimentary dance floor bombs.
Ignite is the nastiest and most belligerant of Masons output to date. Dark, deep and jacking, Ignite should do exactly what its name implies. With more peaks and troughs then the current World economy, this is musical blue touch paper. Ignite, and stand clear!
The flip side is the Nu-Disco flavoured Who Killed Trance, a taster of things to come from Masons debut album. This is a truly beautiful and emotive tune, showcasing Masons understanding of pairing melody and groove. With stunning strings and a monster Italo influenced bassline, this is an end of night number which will no doubt have crowds in euphoric rapture.
The signature 'Refurb' completes this package, taking Who Killed Trance in a totally random direction as usual. Each Animal Language release contains a completely random re-interpretation
This time around our Refurb takes a trip into 1980s video arcade game territory with all the analogue bleeps and monophonic signatures of those classic joystick greats.
