Women attend EDM parties but I find they don't get as involved in the whole "scene" as men do. Of course, there are always exceptions.

Where I grew up it was kind of rare for women to be into electronic music. It was especially rare for them to get into it without having a boyfriend who was into it first, or friends with boyfriends who were into it. So yes, such places do exist. I lived in the American south, like Wiley.

Your name is so close to deadmau5.. are you the legend himself?:)

jesus. i know the types of edm places where only guys go, and i hate them. always full of drug abusers and geeks - no real people.

i'd hate for that to be my only option.

have things changed over the last 5 yrs? more women than before?

exactly what are the edm nightclubs "where the male clientele dont make women uneasy"?

in my area and a few other cities ive visited, it seems the cheesier or more commercial the edm = the more women.

It does seem like mostly men who pride themselves on listening to more l33t and underground stuff than everyone else. I actually don't know any women who treat musical taste and knowledge as a competition like lots of guys do. There must be at least a few out there, though, right?

:p

I know a girl that uses musical tastes and knowledge as a way to get guys.

Is she competitive about it, though? I mean, people faking an interest or exaggerating one they actually have to attract somebody is about as common as dirt.

Well, she does have good taste in music and a lot of knowledge that most girls generally don't have. She knows how to use it to get into conversations with guys and impress them, lol.
