| You had me at "On A Bridge"... one of my absolute favorite songs! |

I enjoyed this mix a whole ton, really smooth and melodic progressive, a perennial favorite of mine. The songs effectively built upon one another, and each new song sounded distinct enough that you can differentiate between them easily. I heard a lot of great music in the genre that I didn't hear of before, I believe it was the Jono Fernandez song that was my favorite on the mix.
My only complaint was, while the chilled out intro songs were good, they didn't really seem to fit the rest of the mix (especially the Mazzy Star song). Oh, and that I prefer the original mix of "On A Bridge" to the more upfront 4x4 stomper mix you used, but that's personal preference! |

Loved it for about two years now, eventually got released. It is slightly tweaked from the original Kenneth Thomas mix that Oakenfold used to play which is a tad disappointing but it's still a hugely energetic track. |

Thanks buddy, glad the intended smoothness came across.
Have you heard much of Arthur Deep's work before? While that Jono Fernandez remix was great, he has produced many gems, well worth checking out his work.

I can understand that observation. The reason behind them was to try and incorporate a narrative element to the mix in using the initial two tracks as a form of prologue. I wanted the start to be distinct and create a memorable opening before the 4x4 smoothness starts and the changing sounds become less distinguishable out of necessity.

Oh, the original is beautiful too! I just felt like including a Blue Haze track in the mix as I've been revisiting his work recently.
Thanks for the in-depth critique, pleasure is mine! |
