also, i gotta say that i really appreciate the fact that you've been supporting my . you and tony (darin epsilon) have just been really fantastic with advice, comments, and support and whatnot and it means a lot to me. thanks.

keep putting it out and i'll keep playing it. your stuff it brilliant - no joke.

Last night I took an hour long ride in a bus and listened to this. So there I was, high as a kite, and half way through there's a track where this guy starts moaning or something like that. Nearly crapped my pants because I thought the old guy sitting behind me is dying. Freaked me out. :p

Absolutely loved the first half of it. The rest was good listening, too.

:)

:haha: the breakdown in #5 is probably it...

hilarious.

I'm only about 1/3 of the way through but there's been lots of great tunes so far, and the mixing is pretty tight. Nice job!

Denys, seems like we always end up playing a lot of the same tracks. I used that Joris Voorn track in my latest demo as well. (Not that it is completely far-fetched since that's a popular tune, but it's a good one.)

Unfortunately, my recording went haywire and I'm going to have to re-do mine. :(

Anyhow, will get in on this download as soon as I can.

Also, lol @ your sig, just saw that as I clicked reply.

Reaaaally nice mix. Probably my favorite from you. Which is weird because prior to listening to this I grabbed some of the tracks by themselves and they didn't do too much for me, but you managed to make them rock in this set. Good one.

actually funny you bring that up. while listening to a recent danny howells set i heard him drop Cobblestone Jazz – Dump Truck. unbeknown to me i actually had it but it was an afterthought - never really got into it when i got a hold of it back in 07. while i was dropping That Whole Thing i was like "hmmm Hit Girl would go really well with this" so i dig up the track and in the same folder was Dump Truck. and it hit me that it was the perfect follow up. so after two years that i bought the track and deemed it unusable - i end up rediscovering it through another DJ (and a rather amazing one) and using it myself to a good capacity.

leads me to believe each tune has it's own place and time and maybe i shouldn't be so quick to discard some of them.

totally agree with the last sentence there. when dump truck first came out, i hated it. i hated that "wah-wah-waaaaaahhhh" synth. but after listening to it a few times and hearing it mixed well, it really grew on me and now i love playing that track. it's a ton of fun to mix with. i use it as a tool pretty often and mix it with another track in the same key- about halfway through the track there's a rhodes solo that sounds good layered on top of something else.

that, and the percussion ing kicks ass in it.

I got to this last week but never got around to commenting...This was very nice and groovy, lots of really good tracks. This is the house I like to hear. Will probably keep this around to give a couple more listens and I will definitely be following your mixes more in the future. :)
