listened to this while i was running around tonight. i gotta say it think you set yourself up with that opener. it's great but there's only one direction this mix could've went.
it was a little bit on the dry side - in my opinion. not that it wasn't good tho. there was still some groove and funk elements throughout but overall it was very techy.
it was consistent tho. had a lot of bounce to it. and definitely something i would get into in the middle of the night.
the tune around 27th minute and on is brilliant. picking that one up for sure. the slight piano note with a vocal tid-bit - right up my alley.
finishing off with some francais is never a bad thing. honest to god one of the most uniform mixes i've heard. blended really well.
on a personal note - i think we would destroy a tag-team set. i would really like to do a good 3 hours with you going back and forth. |

Thanks so much fr the feedback guys!
@Denys: I'm actually glad that you say that because I really intended for this mix to be very uniform and going in one direction. I figured I had to try it, you know, strictly a club mix and I think I've succeeded in that. I get what you're saying about the overall sound aesthetic being on the dry side, but again, I didn't feel like I wanted to mix things up too much.
And hell yea for a tag team set! I think we tend to go for the same kind of music for the most part so our individual collections I think would complement each other quite well. Oh well maybe one day I'll be in your area;)
Cheers guys |

| I loved your deep house sets, so I'm definitely interested in this, but I'm gonna have to wait till I get home to give this a DL... |

I can't comment on the digging part, because many of these are big tracks. There is nothing wrong with that either, as not everything in life has to be super deep and full of meaning. I have to agree with denys that it was a bit "uniform" to my tastes, but it was mixed well and was by no means a bad listen.
A few transitions there were slight volume differences... but in all honesty i listened to this at work, and my speakers do not reproduce the low end well at all there, so i will have to give it another go to be sure.
I almost used the cockpit track too, and even if i have not like anything chelonis has done since hellen cornell, i dig it a lot.
I know this review is not exactly too in depth, but i am going to have to give it a listen on my monitors to truly be able to comment on everything more precisely:) |

I finally listened to this last night. I agree with Denys and Jay that it was a pretty uniform set. Since you said that's precisely what you intended to accomplish with this set, then you pretty much nailed it.
I do wish that you introduced a little more houseyness and a little less tech somewhere down the last stretch. But that's just personal preference and what I would have done myself. :p
Mixing was on spot all the way through, and at some points it was even hard to tell it was a new track already. I guess you can chalk that one up to very good programming. ;) |

| Listened to this last night. Though it was a good listen, I gotta say I like your deeper/melodic sets a lot more (your last one was my favorite). I guess tech house just isn't my thing. Beyond that, you put the mix together well and mixing was flawless as far as I could tell. Lately you've really stepped up your game on the technical side of things and this was no exception. great jabbbb |
